While case studies of disruption typically reflect the past, today we have the opportunity to observe shifts as they unfold, possibly witnessing disruption in real-time and a new future being shaped - if we know where to look.

In September 2024, two events will take place, each representing a distinctly different approach to addressing global challenges and engaging a global community. These events - one centralized and the other decentralized - offer valuable insights for business leaders navigating a world shaped by geopolitical, technological, and societal shifts. Both models demonstrate lessons on how organizations can either maintain the stability of traditional frameworks or embrace the innovation and agility offered by decentralized approaches. The Summit of the Future (22-23 September 2024)

The Summit of the Future will convene world leaders at the UN Headquarters in New York. It is a community of the few, with attendance by invite only. This centralized meeting aims to reaffirm global commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and address gaps in global governance.
